Yes there is the bite of crisp fall lingering in the air. The nights in Wisconsin are growing cooler, making me wish for more blankets on my bed. I love this time of year, watching the leaves on the trees change, feeling the cold in the air and eating fresh apples off the tree.
There are more changes in the air than just the temperature for me. Summer camp at Luther Point Bible Camp ended August 10 and since then I have been keeping pretty busy. I am not sure where all of the past two months have gone to! Since August I have spent a weekend at my friend Colleen’s family’s cabin, worked Labour Day weekend at Luther Point as a retreat host and spent 15 days in Mexico and San Diego, California. I have also had a change in my occupation. I started last week at Dunn Brothers Coffee as a barista. I have been overwhelmed at times, trying to learn all of the drinks, how to froth the milk just right and all of the locations on the register to ring orders up. Thankfully my coworkers have been gracious and helped me out countless times. I have also found that my time working in our YWAM frappe house in Ensenada has paid off because I came into my job with a general knowledge of basic drinks. I am still working at the Hudson House and at Luther Point one to two times a month.
I am once again taking classes through Distance Education from Northwester College. I currently have 12 credits in the form of four classes. They are Introduction to Geography, Evangelism and Missions, Introduction to Psychology and Principles of Biblical Interpretation. So far I am enjoying the classes.
What is next and upcoming? Well… you will have to check back.
